Rihanna Becomes the First Woman to Create Original Brand at LVMH

Rihanna Brings Fenty to LVMH

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world’s largest luxury group, recently confirmed that the fashion line created by Rihanna was officially becoming part of its family, but also the new product line would soon be unveiled in just a few weeks.

As Rihanna prepares to launch Fenty, fans worldwide are excited about her new role and her new designs. Robyn Rihanna Fenty will become the first woman to create an original brand called Fenty at LVMH and the first woman of color at the top of an LVMH Maison. Interestingly enough, Fenty will be the first new house created by the group since Christian Lacroix in 1987. The brand will join a family of well-known brands such as Dior, Givenchy, Celine, and Fendi.

Rihanna’s brand will be based in Paris and it has already been said that her vision will lead the line to success. Sales already started at a pop-up in Paris on May 24, then will be fully available at fenty.com on May 29, 2019. LVMH reported first-quarter revenues in April of $14.1 billion, an increase of 16 percent.  Founded in 2016 under an agreement with Puma, (which was then owned by the LVMH rival Kering), Fenty had its debut at New York Fashion Week before moving to Paris for two seasons.

What can one expect? Haute streetwear for those that love edgy fashion with designs in different fabrics and shades. To be the first to receive announcements visit Fenty.com.
