Goodwill Spring Fashion Show

What could be better than a fashion show in a thrift store? On Saturday April 27, Goodwill in Dearborn held its first ever in-store Spring Fashion Show. At eleven o’clock the show commenced and people crowded the perimeter of the aisle runway. Faint music began and the hosts began the welcome greetings. Each model walked down (the youngest being a three-year-old) with cheerful smiles on their faces including Kori Fields of Colour X Numbr, Inez of Style Chic 360, and Tisha and TaNisha of Thrifty Broads. Spring was definitely in the air, not only because it was warm and breezy outside, but because all the outfits were fresh and bright. It was an array of floral prints, pops of green and yellow, flowy silhouettes, fresh solid-colored blazers, skirts and dresses cinched at the waist, and bow ties for the men. Each ensemble came with its own account of the brands included and the comparison between the retail price and the affordable thrift price which was music to the ears of the entire audience. As soon as the fashion show ended, everyone went through the store looking for their own spring wardrobe add-ons while bloggers did their round of meet and greets. The inevitable long lines started to form and the thrill of thrifting was all around. Such a unique and successful event it was!
