Ulta Beauty has launched a Conscious Beauty category which entails clean beauty products and full transparency to its buyers. This new category encourages people to make educated choices for themselves and the planet while purchasing beauty products at the same time.
As you know, clean beauty isn’t regulated under the FDA. Conscious Beauty brands at Ulta which include labels like Tula, are certified based on five pillars: clean ingredients, cruelty-free, vegan, sustainable packaging, and leaving a positive impact. These are the qualities Ulta accepts as “Conscious Beauty” when it comes to the products sold in stores and online.
Ulta even goes one step further. As a part of Ulta’s sustainable-packaging commitment, they also promise that 50% of all packaging sold at Ulta will be made from recycled or bio-sourced materials or be recyclable or refillable by the year 2025.
Ulta created Conscious Beauty based on the fact that 75% of its customers expressed interest in purchasing items that are “truly clean”. Research also shows, 63% of Ulta’s customers also believed it to be “important” to buy products that are proven to be safer for the planet.
