One of our favorite poets and LGBTQ activists Natasha T. Miller will be informing friends and fans about her recent project: The Artist Inn tonight (Sept 16, 2016) at Detroit is the New Black from 7pm – 10pm.
The twenty-something Detroit native is a well-liked performance poet, a writer, activist, actress and a motivational speaker. After her first year of performing in 2007, she was crowned Detroit Poetry Slam team’s Grand Slam Champion. Since then she has been a member of three National Poetry Slam teams. She has also been a Women of The World Poetry Slam finalist two years in a row, ranking as the third female slam poet in the world back in 2008.
For those attending tonight, a $5 donation is suggested to help support Miller’s project. Detroit is the New Black is located at 1426 Woodward Ave, downtown Detroit.
