Runway Meets Heritage: Inside the 2026 DAAA G.A.L.A. Fashion Show at Michigan Central

Detroit’s fashion scene has always been rooted in community, culture, and iconic spaces. On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, one of the city’s most heartwarming and sophisticated runway traditions returns: the 2026 DAAA G.A.L.A. Fashion Show, co-hosted by Dr. Sabrina Jackson and Huel Perkins, featuring special appearances by R&B artist Cherrelle and Judge Greg Mathis. This special event will be held inside the newly transformed Michigan Central Station.

Organized by the Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA), this annual afternoon showcase proves that style is timeless while bringing together Metro Detroit’s premier local designers, models, and community leaders.

Beyond the high-concept styling and vibrant runway looks, the DAAA G.A.L.A. carries a unique purpose including a historic Venue backdrop set inside Michigan Central’s grand hall in Corktown. The architecture alone delivers a stunning aesthetic frame for the runway.

Guests are invited to watch local & regional labels and independent stylists showcase fall and winter collections tailored for every generation. For the sake of the community, 100% of ticket sales directly support vital community programs for older adults, caregivers, and adults with disabilities across Metro Detroit.
