‘Get The Look’ Emmy (Wedding) Ready
During last night’s Emmys we saw the red (gold) carpet filled with white dresses perfect for any wedding and….. well, perfect for the 2018 Emmys! White is gorgeous, white is pure and innocent and white is always elegant, especially on the red carpet.
We’ve put together a few fun combos with some of our favorite stars and some of our favorite (more affordable) designers so you too can ‘get the look’ and look like a Hollywood starlit for your next big event.
Claire Foy after winning an Emmy for lead actress in a drama series on the left and on the right, a beautiful white dress by Alexandra Grecco that resembles the simplicity and cleanliness of Foy’s Emmy gown. Grecco’s spaghetti straps are barely there and the hemline is in the perfect place.
Jessica Biel looked flawless on the red carpet last night during the 2018 Emmys wearing a strapless Ralph & Russo gown which included a variety of sizes of scallop-shaped pieces of fabric. On the right, a similar style created by Watters. Watters specializes in wedding gowns that have a whimsical feel and stunning unique design. We’re feeling it.
On the left, Kristin Bell wore a sleek, form-fitting gown by Solace London with simple square neckline. To resemble Bell’s, red carpet gown, we adore Alexandra Grecco’s white fitted gown on the right, with a deep V-neck and fitted long sleeves.
Here, Scarlett Johansson stunned in a white off-the-shoulder gown dripping in sequins and featuring a dramatic V-neck, as well as a sexy thigh-high slit. Rime Arodaky provides the same stunning effects perfect for those who want to be just as sexy but in a more modest way. Arodaky always leaves us wanting more.
Godless actress Elisa Perry donned the white dress of a bride’s dreams during the 2018 Emmys wearing a beautiful strapless gown and tulle train. The model on the right is wearing a wedding gown by Watters that has the same whimsical feel with a sweetheart neckline, bow at the waist and dramatic length.
Penelope Cruz was a modern-day Cinderella at the 2018 Emmys wearing a custom Chanel gown made of silk tulle, iridescent beads, and feathers. Topping off the detailed gown was a bodice adorned with 8,000 pieces including white and iridescent blue organza flowers, beads, and feathers. The bodice itself took 280 hours to hand-embroider. Our look-a-like on the right by Alexandra Grecco, is a much more affordable dress than the custom made Chanel gown but still has dramatic movement in the feathers and brings on the drama in the stunning deep V-neck and halter style straps.
Jonathan Van Ness wore a nude silk-organza turtleneck from Prada under a white Stella McCartney pant suit. Our look-a-like on the right is from WTOO and includes a jacket that can be worn or not, a sexy sweetheart neckline corset and a straight leg pant with added flair for drama.
And there you have it. A few looks from our favorite designers that give us the drama of a bride, the sexiness of her honeymoon and a look everyone will remember. We’ve always loved wedding gowns for red carpet events and special occasions. Apparently the stars do too!
