Isn’t it great when you see people supporting others and being an advocate for charity and causes that support our community? We think so.

“Breast cancer affects everyone –
“It doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman. That’s why I’m stepping up to fight breast cancer with all I have. Since I’m in a position to make a difference within my community, I believe I have an obligation to do so. By raising money and awareness through Real Men Wear Pink, I’m helping to save more lives from breast cancer.”

Along the Pink Carpet lined social media and photo paparazzi greeted guests who later enjoyed libations from sponsor Zim’s 81 Vodka, also a decadent array of hors d’oeuvres, and sweet treats inspired by the pink theme. In the venue’s lounge, pink flowers filled the back wall where VIP guests mingled, danced, took photos, and enjoyed the music spun by the DJ.

Christina Milian

Christina Milian

Celebrity friend, and business partner of House of Fine Gold, actress/singer Christina Milian, supported Khalife’s event and made a guest appearance. Christina wore a black form fitted dress with a corset cut halter style bodice and velvet skirt. Her soft yet perfect hair and make up look finished the ensemble giving her the perfect mix of soft and feminine, which radiated with her warm and approachable smile.

Symon

The pink carpet came to life when, Los Angeles|New York City Recording Artist, Sony Host @SiriusXM Hits 1 and Actress, Gabielle Symon appeared from the Party bus at The Pink Carpet Gala. Symon wore a garment by Russian designer Kamilla Purshie. It was a stunning white, one-piece bodycon dress that had a built in collar and capelet with chiffon ribbon trim. Her dark hair was tucked behind her ears to highlight her face. The capelet gave us just a glimpse of the gold hardware clutch she was carrying.

Chuck Bennett and Shannon Lazovski

Pink Carpet Guests

In attendance were many of the Detroit’s fashion savvy fashionistas including Chuck Bennett and our DFN founder, Shannon Lazovski, along with Mia Maya, and vocalist Jenelle Faranso who attended with a few of her friends in a great peplum LBD with a deep v-neck (photographed in center).

Alyssa, Pink Carpet Gala

Alyssa Camille, Creative Director for Sociva was also a sponsor for the event. Alyssa wore a fully beaded formal and carried a small-jeweled clutch to coordinate. Her earrings and bracelet jewelry were perfection.

The event was a success. We heard a little rumor that Khalife will be hosting more events in the Metro Detroit area.  We’ll be sure to keep you posted on more events! On behalf of Detroit Fashion News, thank you to those who came out for the evening. Your generous contributions and support goes a long way.
