LIFT: Luxury Indian Fashion Tour Comes to Michigan in Partnership with Taj Cottage
It’s an exciting time for the Michigan fashion community! The weather is warming up and the calendar is filling up with exciting in-person fashion events coming this spring and summer of 2022.
LIFT: Luxury Indian Fashion Tour will be showcasing their Bridal collection in several major cities in the USA, including Detroit, Mi on April 24, 2022 in collaboration with Michigan fashion designer Rachna Chandra and her brand, Taj Cottage.
The tour is bringing a Spring and Summer Bridal collection to the April 24th event which will include men’s resort wear and fine jewelry for both men and women. The event will take place from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The Best Western Premier located at 26555 Telegraph Rd., Southfield, Mi.
This will be the first Indian luxury brand expo in the city of Detroit, which will be attended by brides and their families from Midwest states and beyond.

Neeta Lulla
From simplicity to royalty, Neeta Lulla has it all to her. Neeta Lulla has been one name that has been prevalent in the industry for two decades now. The designer has been an active contributor in giving the actors a look to die for. Her designs have not only been recognized in India but have also acquired great acclaim globally. The designer has made a niche for herself, creating the costumes of the era long lost. The challenge to create designs for high-profile and larger-than-life movies like Jodha Akhbar and Devdas has been very well met by Neeta Lulla, who tuned them to the richness and charismatic period of the movies. In keeping with the true essence of ‘Indian at Heart’, her collections combine contemporary silhouettes with heritage textiles and traditional embroidery techniques.

Kunal Rawal is a Menswear designer who started his career in 2006 after graduating from London College of Fashion and was one of the youngest designers in India
to take on individual feature film projects. Following consistent success as a costume designer and stylist in the Hindi film industry, he launched his namesake label,
Kunal Rawal. It is a luxury Indian contemporary brand that has become popular for its non-conformist and multi-functional approach toward design. The brand’s
embroidery techniques such as French knots, appliquéing, pleating, metallic work, to name a few, have garnered recognition within the Indian fashion circuit and beyond. Experimental design aesthetic combined with the designer’s expansive knowledge of the Indian market has resulted in strong brand positioning for the Label.
