Get to Know Ivy Moliver: The Reigning Queen of Leather

Montecito Designer and Founder of Luxury Accessories Brand Ivy Cove Discusses Her Inspiration Behind the Collection and Her Heart to Give Back to the Community Through Empowering Young Women

Ivy Moliver is an American designer, businesswoman and entrepreneur who has spent her life striving to make the finest leather accessories in the fashion space. As a young girl growing up just outside of New York City, Ivy was attracted to designer fashion boutiques. Among them, leather goods and lifestyle accessories held her interest and captivated her attention.

After decades of dedication to her passion and her craft, today, she serves as the Managing Director and Partner of Superior Leather LTD. Taking her career and love for small leaher goods a bit further, Moliver launched her Ivy Cove, a collection she created with her own vision which came to life due to her own personal luxury lifestyle experiences in 2022.

The Ivy Cove brand is settled in Montecito, California and represents the culmination of Ivy’s fashion journey. Especially her meaningful experiences and journies across the runways and leather tanneries of Europe. Having a strong focus for years, she has unmatched knowledge gained from producing quality goods out of Asia for some of the biggest global luxury brands, which helps her lead a successful brand.

Moliver says, “In every piece of the Ivy Cove collection, I integrate a piece of my work and experience in making luxury accessories for all to enjoy. I also want to bring some of my practical travel secrets to the collections with styles that make traveling or simply going for a neighborhood stroll fun, effortless and understatedly chic.”

Ivy Cove is a luxury collection of handcrafted women’s and men’s leather accessories that embody laidback luxury, wanderlust and freedom. Ivy Cove is thoughtfully curated from the best artisans that the global community have to offer. The collection includes a variety of women’s and men’s shoes, belts and bags to leather goods for the home, travel, lifestyle, pet accessories and baby items all made with the finest materials.

Ivy Moliver isn’t content to simply take from the community she calls her home. Ivy meaningfully gives back through her active association with The Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara, a volunteer-led donor group of women supporting women which addresses critical needs of women, children, and families in Santa Barbara County. Ivy also supports Girls Inc. of Carpinteria with 10% of online sales going to the organization, empowering young women and fostering a brighter future for generations to come. Ivy has partnered with Step Up, the mentorship nonprofit guiding girls to their success, to design a unique Market Tote where 20% of proceeds go directly back to the organization to help support their mentorship programs. Additionally, she serves as a mentor with Step-Up where she has spoken on various panels and currently serves on the board of her condo association.

By her side for the last 18 years at Superior Leather LTD, is her partner, Richard Liu, who serves as the company’s CEO. Though Liu is not involved at Ivy Cove, their partnership at Superior Leather truly complements one another in every manner imaginable. Partnerships like the one she enjoys at Superior Leather, positions her uniquely among designers.
