Jason Wu’s Pre-Fall 2011 Collection was inspired by the street fashion photos of the Seeberger Brothers who focused on Paris citizens in the 1930’s. Back in the glamorous 30’s, everyday attire consisted of memorable hats, feathers and fur coats. Wu’s collection takes looks from the 30’s and is mixed with simple pieces like traditional trenches and relaxed sweatpants. The colors used are gorgeously lady like and the pieces are individual works of art with lace appliques, beaded collars and feminine cuts that scream glamour.
Wu also released new handbag shapes, including his logo which is the face of an owl. The collection is much larger than last year and honestly is quite more impressive too. Platform cigarette heels can be found in his collection with a color scheme that simply matches the color scheme of the clothes. There hasn’t been a collection launched like this in a long time and we are excited to sit back and watch this genius designer continue to thrive.
