Meet Ashley Gold, a Leader of Sparkling Accessories for Men and Women
Ashley Gold is a name you may recognize from the hit TV show, Hard Core Pawn. Gold starred in the show along with her father and brother. The show focused on their family pawnshop, American Jewelry Loan on Greenfield in Detroit. After years of working with her family, Gold decided to venture out on her own to start her own business called Pawn Chick Shopping now known as AshleyGold.com. She is a leader in the world of fashionable jewelry, the winner of Detroit Garment Group’s Verge Pitch competition and an entrepreneur who loves accessorizing celebrities and local jewelry lovers with up-to-date sparkling jewelry.
Ashley Gold is a mom of two and is someone we can all relate to. She’s a carpool mom, the friend at lunch that always has the best necklaces on and an entrepreneur that loves running her own business. Gold has been featured on CNN, Fox News, HLN, Good Morning America, and the Today Show.

DFN: What made you start creating jewelry and when did you start?
Gold: Raised in a pawnshop, jewelry was always flowing throughout my blood. Ever since I was young, I loved designing jewelry. Once I saw my first piece come to life, it was amazing!
DFN: Explain your brand and what it means to you.
Gold: My brand is Ashley Gold. It’s my name, and it truly describes me. Each piece of jewelry represents me. It’s something I would wear during the day or at night.
DFN: What inspires your designs?
Gold: When I sit down and make each piece of jewelry, I always believe that the individual receiving the piece believes in style.
DFN: What do you get out designing jewelry? Explain the sentimental value behind your beautiful creations.
Gold: I’m able to express myself in my jewelry. I’m very extroverted and when wearing Ashley Gold jewelry, you’re able to have fun and wear my pieces to express yourself too.
DFN: Explain your clientele. What type of client wears your designs?
Gold: Everyone can wear my jewelry. I’m fashion-forward, trendy and my pieces are priced just right.
DFN: Tell us something fun about yourself.
Gold: I have been married for 16 years and have 2 incredible kids and we love to see the world when not working.
DFN: What do you enjoy most about owning your own business in Michigan?
Gold: Born and raised in Detroit – I feel blessed that I am able to fulfill a passion and go with it!
DFN: Do you have other passions besides creating jewelry?
Gold: Family always comes first!
